This hotel’s facilities include a traditional Japanese restaurant, a natural hot spring spa with a sauna and relaxation treatments, and a 24-hour front desk. The hotel is conveniently located for local transport and for several local attractions which makes it very popular with both tourist and business travelers.

Hotel Monterey Edelhof has 300 guest rooms in its main building and separate south building. Main-building rooms occupy floors 16 to 22, with Standard Single, Standard Twin, Hollywood Twin and Deluxe Corner Twin options. The 22nd-floor Premium Floor has Standard Rooms, Suites and Premium Suites. South-building rooms are on floors 2 to 12 and include South Twin, South Corner Twin and Universal Twin options. There is also one Luxury Room on the top floor of the hotel which also has twin beds, as well as a large sofa and a very spacious bathroom. All guest rooms are non-smoking.

All beds are fitted with high quality Simmons brand pocket coil spring mattresses to ensure a good night’s sleep. All rooms are supplied with an ionic hairdryer, pajamas, slippers, a smart TV, a desk, a telephone, a letter set, a laundry bag, a kettle, free Wi-Fi internet access and LAN cable connection, a refrigerator, a wardrobe with coat-hangers, an air conditioner, and a combined air purifier and humidifier with a plasma-cluster filter. Bathrooms are supplied with towels, a bath mat, shampoo, conditioner, soap, body towels, razors, toothbrush sets, a hairbrush, cotton buds, and shower caps.

Breakfast & Dining
This hotel offers a large buffet breakfast with both Western and Japanese dishes, including vegetables, salad greens, fruit, bread, omelettes, juices, coffee and tea. Hokkaido dishes include zangi fried chicken and salmon chan-chan-yaki, while ramen and curry selections rotate. The menu varies with ingredient availability. Breakfast is served between 6.30 and 10.00, with last orders at 9.30. The fee per person is 4,000 yen, including tax and service.
This hotel also has a traditional Japanese restaurant called Zuientei on the 13th floor. This restaurant serves seasonal dishes using fresh Hokkaido ingredients and presented in an artistic style together with the very best sake selection. Zuientei serves lunch from 11.30 to 15.00, with last orders at 14.00, and dinner from 17.00 to 21.00, with last orders at 20.30. It is closed on Wednesdays except public holidays. Private dining rooms are also available.
The 14th-floor spa lounge, Baden, offers soft drinks, ice pops and a complimentary can of beer or sour, with tables and reclining seats for relaxing after a bath. The lounge is open from 14.00 to 22.00.

Hotel Monterey Edelhof has a 24-hour reception desk with staff who can speak both Japanese and English. Check-in time is from 15.00 and check-out time is by 11.00. Luggage can be stored at reception before checking in and after checking out. After checkout, collect it on the same day; speak to the staff if you will be returning for another stay.

The following items can be borrowed from reception: nail clippers, an iron, a trouser press, cutlery and tableware, an ice pack (gel), a thermometer, a sewing kit, a desk lamp (reservation required), a corkscrew, a bottle opener, a mobile phone charger, extra blankets, umbrellas, and a wheelchair (reservation required). Some items are available in limited quantities; ask at reception.
Baby cribs can be rented for 1,100 yen per night, but must be reserved in advance.
This hotel has its own hot spring spa on the 14th floor which is named after the famous Czech spa resort Karlovy Vary. The spa features a jet bath, a sauna and an open-air bath, with body care, body scrubs and foot care available by reservation. The baths use natural sodium-chloride hot spring water that is diluted, heated and circulated through a filtration system. The spa also has a lounge where guests can relax after bathing. The spa baths are free for hotel guests and are not open to day visitors. The baths are open from 14.00 to 23.00, with last entry at 22.30, and from 7.00 to 10.00, with last entry at 9.30. The spa closes for maintenance once a month. Bring towels from your room. Guests with tattoos cannot enter, and guests under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
This hotel also has its own Christian chapel and a Shinto shrine where wedding ceremonies can be held.

Hotel Monterey Edelhof is about a 7 minute walk from the South Exit of JR Sapporo Station. From Sapporo Subway Station, allow about 2 minutes from Exit 22, which has stairs, or about 4 minutes from Exit 23, which has an elevator. Odori Subway Station is about a 5 minute walk away. This location is convenient for Sapporo Clock tower, Odori Park, Sapporo TV Tower, and the Sapporo Factory shopping center.
