Stellar Place is a major shopping centre located inside the JR Sapporo Station building. Here you will find shops selling fashions for men and women, cosmetics, accessories, interior goods, music, books, toys, plentiful dining options, and a cinema.

Stellar Place is located inside Sapporo Station
Stellar Place has two wings: Stellar Place Center and Stellar Place East. The Center wing has a basement level and then nine floors above ground. The East wing has a basement level and then six floors above ground. These two wings are divided on the B1 basement level by the East Avenue and on the 1st floor by the East Concourse. However, between the 2nd floor and 6th floor you can walk directly between the two wings without leaving Stellar Place. There are cafes on all the floors between the basement and the 5th floor where you can sit down and take a break from shopping, but the main dining section is in the Center wing of the 6th floor. In this article we will introduce some of the representative stores and cafes on each floor.

Basement 1 Floor

B1 Center: Natural Beauty Basic
Natural Beauty Basic is a clothing store aimed at ladies in their 20s and early 30s and sells affordable, comfortable, simple designs that are suitable for work and play.

B1 East: Diana
Diana sells an elegant range of handbags and shoes. They have an extensive line-up of shoes in all sizes. The quality of the design, materials, and workmanship ensures beauty, durability and comfort.
1st Floor

1F Center: L’Occitane En Provence
L’Occitane En Provence is a very popular beauty products store selling skin care and hair care goods, cosmetics, home fragrances, soaps, and perfumes aimed at women and men.

1F Center: Starbucks Coffee
In addition to the 1F Center branch of Starbucks coffee, there is another Starbucks branch on the second floor of the East wing.

1F East: GAP Kids
The East wing of the 1st floor has a branch of the GAP for men and women, and also GAP Kids.
2nd Floor

2F Center: Glaciel
Glaciel is a café which specializes in delicious parfaits, waffles, and ice cream. You can also get savoury dishes here such as open sandwiches, lasagna, and beef stroganoff.

2F Center: Diesel
Diesel is a clothing and accessory store selling original bags, shoes, belts, watches, sunglasses, and jewelry.

2F East: CA4LA
CA4LA (pronounced “kashira”) is a store selling high quality hats made in Japan and overseas. Custom-made and order-made hats are also available and hat repairs can also be done here.
3rd Floor

3F Center: Unico
Unico is an interior goods and furniture store offering timeless designs that will add atmosphere and comfort to any home at reasonable prices.

3F East: Journal Standard Relume
Journal Standard Relume sells men’s, ladies, and unisex casual fashions targeted at young people in their twenties and early thirties and stocks both original and imported goods.
4th Floor

4F Center: Ciaopanic
Ciaopanic sells casual, affordable streetwear aimed at men and women in their 20s.

4F East: HMV
HMV is a famous music and DVD store selling both Japanese and international popular music, and other genres such as classical music, jazz, and movie soundtracks.
5th Floor

5F Center: ABC-Mart
ABC-Mart is sneaker shop selling popular brands such as Nike, Adidas, VANS, and Converse.

5F Center: WEGO LA
WEGO LA sells the latest fashions from the streets of Harajuku aimed at young people in their teens and early twenties and stocks cheap original and second-hand clothing.

5F Center: The Disney Store
A huge range of Disney themed goods are here featuring all your favorite characters. There is also a Snoopy Store next door for fans of the Peanuts comic strip.

5F East: Sanseido Bookstore
The Sanseido Bookstore has an English language books section where you can pick up popular bestsellers and books about Japan. There is also a UCC coffee shop located inside the bookstore.
6th Floor

6F Center: The Stellar Dining Section
The Stellar Dining Section has restaurants serving Chinese, Korean, French, and Italian cuisines as well as Japanese noodles, sushi, yaki-niku style grilled beef, tempura, tonkatsu style breaded pork cutlets, and shabu-shabu hotpots.

6F East: Muji
The East wing of the 6th floor is occupied by a branch of the popular Muji household goods store.
7th Floor
To access the floors above the 6th floor you will need to use elevators in the Center wing of Stellar Place. Both the 7th and 8th floors are fully occupied by a large movie theater.

Sapporo Cinema Frontier
Sapporo Cinema Frontier is a large modern cinema showing all the latest movies and has 12 screens and 2705 seats.
9th Floor
On the 9th floor there is an upmarket French restaurant called Mikuni and a rooftop garden.

Facilities & Services
There is an information desk on the 1st floor of the Center wing on the side closest to Daimaru. Here you can make inquiries about the department store, pick up a brochure with a floor map, ask about lost property, report a lost child, borrow a pushchair for small children or borrow a wheelchair. The information desk is open between 10.00 and 21.00.
There is a JP Bank ATM in the East wing’s B1 level which takes most major credit cards and has English language guidance.
The following credit cards can be used throughout Stellar Place: VISA, Mastercard, American Express, Diner Club International, and JCB. The following prepaid IC cards can also be used to make payments in Stellar Place: Kitaca, Suica, PASMO, toica, manaca, ICOCA, SUGOCA, nimoca and Nanaco. Some stores and restaurants accept the WeChat and Alipay payment systems.

To access the free Wi-Fi simply log on to the network name: JR_TOWER_FREE_WiFi and you will have free internet access for 30 minutes. No password is necessary, and you can log on 4 times a day.
Tax-Free Shopping
Many stores in Stellar Place offer tax-free shopping for overseas customers who are carrying a passport if they spend over 5,000 yen on general goods or between 5,000 and 50,000 on consumable goods (such as food, drinks, cosmetics, and medicines). This exemption will save you having to pay the Japanese consumption tax which is 10% on most goods. Look for the Tax-Free Shop sign in each store to see if you can claim your tax back.
Location
Stellar Place is one of five department stores in and around the JR Sapporo Station building. This interconnected complex of commercial facilities is collectively called “JR Tower”. Stellar Place is located on the south side of the station building and occupies a central position between Daimaru on its west side and Esta to the east.
